hYPe names new PR chair position and unveils updated online presence

Gwinnett County, Metro Atlanta, GA -- hYPe Young Professionals announced Nicole Love, Gwinnett Coalition, and Akilah Lowery, Slingshot Product Development Group, as the new public relations co-chairs for 2010-2011. The chair position is a direct response to the surge in membership growth from 2008-2009. The new position is the fourth seat on the executive committee that also includes community involvement, event planning and membership recruitment chair positions.

On the heels of announcing the a new public relations chair, hYPe is also excited to unveil its new Web presence designed to bring heightened awareness and support for our future public relations strategy. "The new, updated Web site (www.hypegwinnett.com) was vital to the future success of hYPe. If we want to take hYPe to the next level we have to have the best marketing tools available, and this is one of them," stated Nicole Love, hYPe public relations chair. The updated Web site, designed by Mathew Shamloo, graphic designer at the Gwinnett Chamber, was a collaborative effort with chamber staff and the hYPe leadership committee.

hYPe's membership grew by 40 percent, increasing by over 350 members in 2009. hYPe is now focusing its efforts in marketing and career development. "We are so excited to see what hYPe can do in 2010 and energized to show Gwinnett that the skilled, savvy work force they need is here," said Lindsay Wing, hYPe liaison for the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.

We have a wonderful organization that gives young professionals the opportunities to grow in their careers and as future leaders for Gwinnett.
